Member of the State Council; the Dean of College of Medicine & Health Sciences, Sultan Qaboos University, Oman; Chairperson of the Sultan Qaboos University Hospital Board, and is an Associate Professor of Child Health and Consultant Paediatrics at Sultan Qaboos University Hospital.
Member of the Executive Board of Oman Medical Specialty Board (OMSB); The National Bioethics Committee (2009 to 2020); Ministry of Health, Child Protection Task Force (2006 to 2019); and Ministry of Social Development, Muscat Region Child Protection Committee (2012 to date).
Dr. Al-Saadoon has considerable experience in the area of child protection and child right and focused her efforts throughout her career in these areas. She has been involved in many activities to increase public and professionals’ awareness on child abuse, and the needs for child protection services, in coordination with both the Ministry of Health and Ministry of Social Development, viz., Member of the Child Protection Task Force. Member in national and Regional Societies, viz., Arab Association to Prevent Child Abuse and Neglect; International Society to Prevent Child Abuse and Neglect (ISPCAN). Her research interests include child abuse and neglect, and child protection.

Dr. Al Ansari’s extensive expertise in Emergency Medicine, Acute Medical Care has helped him transform
the delivery of Pediatric Emergency services to patients in Qatar. He is a qualified Pediatrician and
Pediatric Emergency physician with over 23 years of experience in the field.
He is a Professor of Clinical Pediatrics and Professor of Clinical Emergency at Weill Cornell Medical
College-Qatar and Professor of Clinical Pediatrics at Qatar University. His research interest is in emergency
respiratory diseases, gastroenteritis, pediatric sedation in an emergency child abuse in Qatar.
He is the Chairman of IRB Qatar Biomedical Bank and Chairman of the Ministry of Public Health. National Group
of Child Protection from Abuse Committee and member of the National Disaster Committee.

She served as Temporary Advisor to World Health Organization and was elected as a councilor in the International Society for Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect (ISPCAN). Moreover, Dr. Almuneef is a Professor of Pediatrics at King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences, and head of the child care department at King Abdullah specialized children hospital in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
